Emirates Expands Retro Boeing 777s to Key Luxury Destinations

Emirates, one of the most popular luxury airlines, continues to elevate the passenger experience by rolling out its newly retrofitted Boeing 777s to more destinations starting in October 2024. Zurich and Riyadh will be the latest cities to welcome these upgraded planes, offering travellers the airline’s renowned Business Class experience, along with the highly praised Premium Economy and refreshed cabin designs.

By the end of the year, Geneva and Brussels will also benefit from this expansion, making them the first cities in Emirates’ network to have all flights serviced by the newly retrofitted Boeing 777s. This move positions Emirates as one of the best business class providers in Europe and the Middle East.

What’s new for travellers?

The upgraded Boeing 777 cabins, available on Emirates, cater specifically to passengers seeking more comfort and convenience in their travel. Business Class passengers can look forward to fully flat beds, personal mini-bars, and aisle access for every seat—features that have become a hallmark of Emirates’ commitment to a better flying experience.

The introduction of Premium Economy to Zurich and Riyadh is also a significant development, especially for the Middle East. With its 8-inch recline, extra legroom, and elevated dining experience, Emirates offers an appealing option for travelers who want more space and comfort.

Expanding Emirates’ reach

By December 2024, Emirates aims to offer 28 cities around the world its upgraded Boeing 777s, alongside its flagship A380s, giving travellers more choices for an upgraded in-flight experience. With 25 aircraft already retrofitted and another 17 expected by year-end, Emirates continues to enhance its global service.

Whether flying in Economy, Premium Economy, or Business Class, Emirates’ dedication to comfort and choice solidifies its place as one of the best in luxury air travel. For more updates on the refreshed routes and planes, visit Emirates.
